WHERE LEGACY MEETS IMAGINATION
Star Wars already lives in the minds of millions. Creating for it means walking a thin line between legacy and invention. That balance is where the best ideas emerge.
For Star Wars Outlaws, I shaped the World and Art direction and led the creation of the first open-world game set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
My objective was to preserve the timeless essence of Star Wars while bringing in fresh and meaningful ideas.
I collaborated closely with Lucasfilm and Disney to honor the franchise’s core and translate its cinematic feel into a fully interactive world.
I had the privilege of guiding and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of over 100 designers, artists, and developers across 7 countries. Together, we built a rich and immersive world that fans embraced for its authenticity and that critics praised as one of the most faithful Star Wars experiences to date.
Star Wars Outlaws received A VES Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Real-Time Project.






SHAPING A GALAXY
As World Creative Director on Star Wars Outlaws, my role was to lead the creation of a galaxy that felt both familiar and new. The goal wasn’t to replicate the past, but to expand on it with respect, intention, and bold ideas.
I followed George Lucas’s original method: drawing from real places, rich cultures, and cinematic history. I studied the films that inspired him, the design language of the ’70s, and the vast Star Wars archives. I created detailed world bibles that defined each planet’s ecosystem, architecture, topography, key visuals, and narrative purpose. These documents served as north stars, guiding and aligning teams across design, art, and story.
I brought my personal travels and references into the creative process. Tanzania’s savannahs, Cambodian ruins, Lapland’s villages, and Monaco’s interiors became touchstones for new worlds. I approached legacy planets like Tatooine with care, preserving what fans remember while enriching what they can discover.
Over five years, I shaped the vision, led the execution, and helped build something worthy of the Star Wars name.
